DoorstepFix.my — On-Site Services & Project Policy

Last updated: 17 September 2026

This policy applies to all on-site services and projects booked through DoorstepFix.my (DF), including:

  • Device repairs: Smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, laptops, and desktop PCs.
  • Home and property services: Renovation, tree cutting, grass cutting, cleaning, plumbing, electrical work, painting, air-conditioning services, carpentry, flooring, and roof repairs.

It applies to work at homes, offices, shops, commercial premises, and other agreed locations. References to our “service team” include technicians, contractors, cleaners, installers, and other assigned workers.

1. All Bookings & Final Agreements Must Go Through DF

DF must confirm the service scope, price, and payment arrangements before work begins.

Our service team may inspect the problem, take measurements, explain findings, and recommend solutions. However, they cannot independently finalise a private deal, change company pricing, promise additional warranty coverage, or approve extra work without DF’s confirmation.

Both the customer and the assigned service team must inform DF about proposed changes. Additional work requires DF’s written confirmation and the customer’s approval.

2. On-Site Transport Fee: RM28–RM48

The on-site transport fee is RM28–RM48 per visit, depending on distance. DF will confirm the exact amount before dispatch.

This covers travel only. Labour, inspection, parts, materials, and equipment are separate unless included in the quotation.

For renovation, recurring services, or projects requiring multiple visits, the quotation will specify whether transport is included in the project price or charged separately. We will not automatically add a separate transport fee for every project visit without prior agreement.

Any fee payable when no work proceeds must be disclosed before the visit. Warranty-related visits follow the applicable warranty and customer rights.

3. Pay Directly to the Company Bank Account

All bank payments must go to the DoorstepFix company bank account confirmed through our official WhatsApp: 011 6362 6459.

Do not transfer money to a technician’s, contractor’s, cleaner’s, or other worker’s personal account or e-wallet.

This applies to:

  • Booking and project deposits.
  • Repair and labour charges.
  • Parts, materials, and equipment payments.
  • Progress payments and final balances.
  • Approved additional work and transport charges.

Company payment records support transparent billing, receipts, warranty verification, and aftercare. Send your payment confirmation to DF with your booking or invoice reference.

4. Cash Is Allowed Only When Banking Is Unavailable

If you cannot make a bank payment, contact DF before paying cash.

Cash may be collected by an assigned team member only after DF confirms the collector and amount.

Both the customer and collector must report the payment to DF immediately. The customer should obtain a DF receipt or written company acknowledgement.

Approved cash payments remain official DF transactions with the applicable warranty. A private cash arrangement that has not been confirmed by DF may require investigation before it can be credited to your booking.

5. Renovation, Larger Projects & Recurring Services

Before starting, the accepted quotation or agreement should state:

  • The work included and any exclusions.
  • Materials, quantities, specifications, or finishes where relevant.
  • The total price and any separately chargeable items.
  • Deposit, progress-payment, and final-payment requirements.
  • The estimated schedule or recurring service frequency.
  • Applicable workmanship and product warranties.
  • Whether debris removal, disposal, and reinstatement are included.

There is no single deposit percentage for every service. Payment stages follow the quotation accepted by the customer.

Changes to designs, materials, quantities, or scope must be recorded and priced through DF before the additional work proceeds. A verbal request to a worker alone does not authorise an extra company charge.

6. Labour Charges for Rework & Existing Work

Labour fees apply to assessing, dismantling, correcting, reinstalling, modifying, or completing existing work where it falls outside an applicable warranty or remedy owed by DF.

Examples include:

  • Correcting another provider’s repairs or renovation work.
  • Changing an installation, finish, layout, or specification at the customer’s request.
  • Repairing new damage or an unrelated fault.
  • Additional cleaning or maintenance outside the agreed scope.

DF will confirm the proposed labour, materials, and transport charges before approval.

Valid warranty corrections to DF’s own work will follow the applicable warranty. Covered corrective work will not be treated as a new paid job simply because another visit is needed.

7. No Unauthorised Private Deals

Our service team must not divert DF bookings into personal jobs or privately collect unapproved charges.

Customers should notify DF if a worker offers an unrecorded discount, requests personal payment, or proposes extra work outside the company booking.

DF does not provide its commercial warranty or project-management commitments for genuinely independent private work that it has neither arranged nor authorised. This includes private agreements about payment, workmanship, materials, parts, and aftercare.

However, misconduct by an assigned worker does not automatically turn an existing DF booking into a private job or remove any responsibility DF has under applicable law.

8. Protection of Devices, Data, Materials & Property

Our service team must not:

  • Access or copy personal data without permission for the agreed service.
  • Remove or substitute device parts without approval.
  • Take tools, materials, fittings, valuables, or other customer property without permission.
  • Take a device or other item away without customer consent and DF’s confirmation.

Customers should back up device data where possible, secure valuables, and keep children and pets away from work areas.

Report suspected theft, missing parts or materials, unauthorised data access, property damage, or improper payment requests directly to DF immediately. Keep relevant messages, receipts, photos, and other evidence.

DF will investigate incidents connected to its bookings and address its responsibilities under the agreement and applicable law. This policy does not excuse theft, misuse of data, or negligent work.

9. Site Access, Safety & Completion

Customers must provide accurate location details, reasonable access, and any necessary owner or building-management permission.

Please disclose known hazards, access restrictions, working-hour limits, and relevant existing damage before work starts. Responsibility for any required permits or specialist approvals must be agreed before the affected work proceeds.

Unsafe work may be paused while a suitable solution is arranged. Any resulting change to scope, timing, or price must be discussed with DF.

Customers should have an opportunity to inspect completed work and raise concerns. Signing a handover or making payment does not remove rights relating to defects discovered later.

10. Warranty & Aftercare

Warranty coverage depends on the service, supplied product or part, and terms stated in the accepted quotation or invoice.

Device-repair warranty periods do not automatically apply to renovation, cleaning, installation, or other property services. These services receive the workmanship or product coverage expressly stated for the job.

Contact DF directly for warranty assessment. Approved cash payments do not invalidate coverage, and payment-record discrepancies do not automatically cancel legal rights.
